I got the eero and it works great. Not the cheapest option, but after...

trying a lot of things, the eero has been perfect. It's truly a whole house wireless system. I've got a 4000 ft^2 house (2 stories and basement) and 3 units works great over the entire house with no dead spots and is super fast. This was about $300, but it's extremely easy to setup and works as advertised. I've tried using other routers as access points, plug in extenders of various types, none which worked all that well.
